Accompanist Program
The Accompanist Training Program provides an opportunity for pianists to develop their skills past the recreational level and become more technical musicians and performers, opening an array of professional opportunities. As part of the program, students will gain live accompaniment experience with solo performers, choirs and ballet classes under the guidance of our instructors. Students will learn to adjust their playing style and technique to suit the performers’ or classes' needs, take direction and build rapport with the performer and teachers.
We aim to grow and expand our musicians’ work ethic, perseverance, communication skills, adaptability and passion by offering a supportive environment to learn the ins and outs of accompaniment that most learn through trial and error. This program will provide a solid foundation for professional opportunities.
Lesson Day: Wednesdays 6:30-7:30pm

Season Dates: September 20 - June 5, 2024
Ages: Grade 8 RCM or Equivalent
